Vision
We are committed to knowing, loving, and supporting creation as sponsors and supporters of a space in nature for the nurture and healing of souls.
At this time, we are:
praying the Daily Office in our Chapel: Morning Prayer at 8am, Noonday Prayer at 12pm, Evening Prayer at 4pm, and Compline at 8pm
keeping a vegetable garden, of which half the yield will be donated to local food pantries
tending the trails and fields, gardens and grounds
receiving private guests on a limited basis
partnering with a local walking group that performs trail maintenance on the trails they hike
partnering with a local K-9 search and rescue squad to provide a training ground for their volunteers
Living
We are actively discerning:
The acquisition of goats and/or chickens
The scope and scale of our guest house ministry
How we can support the mission and ministry of Christ Episcopal Church in Newton and of the Episcopal Diocese of Newark
Our relationships and service to Stillwater and Frelinghuysen, the townships in which we live
The renovation of a rustic cabin on our grounds to serve as a year-round home for two of our resident workers and expanding our guest house capacity
Providing access to our library to our guests and to members of our communities
Discerning
We are dreaming about the possibilities of:
Programs and offerings in Christian formation
Programs and offerings in nutrition and agriculture
Renovating our barn and silos for the use of our communities, as a site for creation and formation
Replacing our windows and installing central HVAC for better stewardship of our financial and natural resources
